  1. "Consciousness" has no scientific reality; neither does "will". These sorts of matters are unavailable to material science--but its proponents will weigh-in, anyway. The "know it all" arrogance demonstrated by Sabine is commonplace in "science", where only the "machine" awareness is allowed. Science is not so much an exposition of reality as it is a game of knowledge played with words. Modern science wants to drive in everyone else's lanes. Whether science is right or not in matters outside its proper purview is irrelevant to me while I'm driving--the rules of road safety command: stay out of my lane!
