  1. "The burden of existence..."? To prefer non-existence to existence would be ridiculous! You have some experience of existence, but not the slightest experience of this supposed "non-existence". The idea that non-existence could in some way be "real" is also unenlightened. "Suffering" is the currency of existence for a reason he doesn't recognize. If I knew nothing more about him, I'd brand him a materialist.
