  2. An article from a newspaper entered into "the record" is not by itself the least bit impressive; the act of putting it into the record is suspect. The implication is that mainstream media reporting is authoritative. That's not so.

  3. The demonization of Hitler persists supernaturally! Some few consider Hitler a deity; many more, though, consider him a devil. I suspect the truth lies somewhere between these extremes. Nationalism is denigrated, tainted, by its connection to Hitler. This "guilt by association" of nationalism and Hitler serves the interests of those for whom nationalism writ large would be problematic. Therefore, the persistent demonization of Hitler maintains nationalism in low repute. Some consider this to be a positive, constructive value.
