  2. Any high-profile VP choice would produce excess baggage for Trump. In these days of "active" VPs, VPs that actually DO stuff, I think Marsha Blackburn, possessor of a well-heeled cynicism, would serve Trump's interests especially well!

  3. Another interesting VP pick would be Byron Donalds! He'd check the "non-white" box, like Marsha checks the "woman" box. Ok...Tulsi Gabbard checks BOTH boxes, but she's high-profile, so...electoral baggage comes along with her. I think the "abortion issue" is a mostly dead one. SCOTUS decided, so what's to do 'bout it! I think Trump's candidacy is popular enough to overcome the effect of not having a high-profile VP.
