  2. Confusing racial awareness for "racism" renders the issue inscrutable, unsolvable. "Racism" requires the belief in the other's inherent inferiority. That's very rare. What is common is identification with one's racial group. Such awareness is a natural survival function, developing over the entire course of human history! There's nothing wrong with racial awareness. And it's not possible to "fight" real racism, even if it could be efficient to do so.
