  1. A righteous take, as usual, Greg! Business people are not idiots. The gov's assurances mask this arbitrary power-grab too poorly to go unnoticed. The real message was, "Tow the line, or this could happen to YOU!" This means the business environment in NY is corrupt and untenable because the law cannot be counted on to be fairly administered. Business needs to plan for the future, and, with a politically corrupt legal system governing the environment, that is impossible. Like Chicago, NY will have to go into the grocery store business just to keep the rioting under control! With the trucker strike in force, the few restaurants that try to stay open will have to take extraordinary measures to maintain food stock, at an added price to customers--perhaps a govt run freight hauling service would jump in to fill the void, at further cost. Women in politics continue to make bad choices!
