But that's not how it's going to go--both sides have "friends" whose involvement will expand the conflict globally! That's a world war...the sons of bitches vs the assholes--no matter who wins, we won't like living anymore...

  2. War-time atrocities are not the problem--WAR is the problem! Always, it is the case that warring parties justify the destruction they perpetrate in terms of the other party's oppression of them. A lot of people are scrambling to choose a side in the Israeli conflict. Taking a historical perspective, I see the conflict as intractable, since Israel owes its existence to the enforced demise of the Palestinian people, by UN fiat. Make no mistake, though. When Israel calls Palestinians "animals", they are referring to EVERY non-Jew. Jews are racial supremacists by any accounting. Choose your friends carefully.
