  1. Shepard dutifully obeys the "You have to wear the mask!" dictate! That's what the interview was really for, to set the obedient example for everyone to see and emulate! They think their manipulations go unnoticed! They should consider what happens in the a person's mind when they notice this manipulation! In my experience, the usual response is "utter disregard"! Iow, I don't entertain the possibility of legitimacy; I simply immediately discount any- and everything emanating from the source of the manipulation--unless I FEAR them, in which case I pay close attention to where they are and what they are doing, in order to protect myself and foil the manipulator. Otherwise...I just stop hearing them, at all...If that's a common reaction, we have a silver lining!
