  1. Compensation for an injury concurrent with the victim's life is very different from compensation for a 200 year old injury after the victim is long dead. "Reparations" represent compensation to a class. Compensation follows damage assessment, which is virtually impossible for a class. Reparations for American slavery is an unworkable proposition.
