  1. "You want to be as far away from the malevolence in your own spirit as you can possibly be"? Ah, jeez, that's just goofy...You want to be far away from yourself? No. To the degree you are a mystery to yourself, so is Nature a mystery to you. Jordan's question requires a definition of "spirit" that seems overly objectified, to me. Is the psyche an object, a thing, or a process? We like to objectify processes as things--verbs into nouns. It can be handy but it introduces a distortion that can cause error.
