  1. If I remember correctly, Christ said, "Resist evil", not "overcome" it, nor "integrate" it, though, learning to resist it we may, both, overcome and integrate it, as a side-effect. The point of resistance is to hold it at bay long enough to establish a barrier region by which to modulate its pressure. By correct modulation you can USE it as a sort of energy source. By incorrect modulation you can create monsters that use YOU!
