Your attribution of "reality" to an emotional attachment is precisely the mechanism of the "evil" you purport to fear, or hate, or dominate...You feed this evil your energy, and it uses it to grow stronger and correspondingly more able to upset whatever psychic balance you may lay claim to, tricking you into further feeding it from you personal energy. This is a bonding relationship. The "peace that passes all understanding" is your only protection--embrace it!

Caviezel's characterization of God as having a "wounded heart" is pure appeal to emotion, and I won't accept it. His characterizations of "the devil" are similarly puerile and pedestrian. As long as this is the celestial dynamic at play, "evil" must remain in the world! If there is a "battle" in the cosmos between Order and Chaos, it is impersonal. The faces of both "good" and "evil" are human! Order and Chaos "cooperate" to manifest existence: Order produces mechanisms by which the pressure of Chaos/disorder is utilized to accomplish the various purposes of Order/God--like the mechanism of a steam engine utilizes the pressure of steam to do specific work. But the limits of human experience engender "error" in conceptualization, error that produces confused, erroneous apperceptions that motivate improper action. Strong emotional attachment, then, promotes and accentuates the erroneous apperceptions which culminate in oversimplified or simplistic conceptualizations of "good" and "evil" super-forces in direct opposition. That notion is wrong in the wider scope of things, while seemingly right in the narrow personal scope. Correcting such ignorance with knowledge is the path of being...that each of us walks uniquely.

"Truth" is all there is! Even the false owes its illusory existence to the truth whose totality can't fit within a too narrow context. Everybody has a "nose" for truth, but the temptation to comfort persuades many to turn from a full sniff of the more rank and pungent of truths. Such people would benefit from seeing this film, as a sort of shock treatment--smelling salts!

In "spiritual warfare", the enemy is YOU! In your ignorance you create forms out of the substance of yourself by which to represent "the enemy". You press the enemy into this form, imbuing yourself, at this level, with the character of the enemy. What the "enemy" is is real; how you formulate the appearance of that enemy is all you! The advantage of this perspective, Jordan, is that it eliminates "evil" from the macrocosm, relegating it to the developing microcosm..."...through a glass darkly..."...the truth is in our vision...
