  1. Despite being helpful, the Ulysses contract is still a crutch; you're still avoiding the self-discipline that would render the crutch unnecessary. Worse yet is developing a HABIT of using crutches to avoid self-discipline! It's like nurturing your own weakness, which is fundamentally unnatural.
