  1. The whole idea of "determinism" is an atheist's refuge! The determinism observed in the mechanism of material reality is just one side of the coin. Perhaps the other might be called, "machination"...hehe...or, "what can be done with these mechanisms?" Information is transmitted and received within the body, even to the level of the DNA, photonically. Microbes, for instance, have been observed emitting and absorbing single photons from nearby microbes. Using lasers, the energetic imprint of DNA has been observed to remain in the space previously occupied by DNA for up to 30 days after the DNA had been removed. There's more to DNA than combinations of four chemical "switches"!
