  1. Why do so many of these news hosts persist in trying to put oversimplifications in their guests' mouths that they won't spit out? I think it has something to do with beauty and brains not occurring together in great quantity. If you DO want beautiful people in front of the camera--and, you do, if you're in the visual media business--you'll have to compensate for their relative lack of brains; perhaps by instituting a "style" of behavior that's aggressive, instead of respectful, superficial, instead of profound. You don't have to be particularly smart to pass that training.
