  2. Wow, Tim's calling out stupid! Good for him! But he still misses the big takeaway: stupid people make bad decisions AND it's ok to be a stupid congress person! When you don't properly account for IQ, you'll have to be confused, scrambling for more or less exotic explanations for the inexplicable. It's all really very simple: insufficient intelligence yields functional incompetence. After centuries we're still dancing around the prime reality, not allowed to attend the truth COMPETENTLY! That's one long ass pendulum swing! But, eventually, it will happen, perhaps to our collective dismay: IQ will become a human feature of paramount importance. There will be IQ qualifications for everything, from govt jobs to personal loans. Because it MAKES SENSE, and we will have finally realized that it's more important to be logically correct than to be emotionally satisfied.
