  1. There's no reason to assume the dollar will become "worthless" just because it ceases to be the world's "reserve currency", Tim. It may lose value on the world market, greatly affecting domestic prices for foreign goods, but the local utility of the currency will remain, at least until barter overtakes it in terms of efficiency of commerce. Gloom and doom gets more clicks and views, though, so, carry on.
