  1. AI's glory is in its use as a man--machine INTERFACE. Database management is a worthy AI application! And a dangerous one! Databases run the world! Currently, AI is stupid and error-prone. "Error" is an advanced concept, perhaps beyond the ability of AI to "understand". In the future there will be no video games because the real world will be commanding every ounce of your attention!

  2. Nonsense, Tim. Your take on AI is fear porn. The vast majority of people have not developed the skill to induce physical sensation at will without intermediary instrumentation. A "brain map" will yield crude and clutsy results--like 3D glasses. Many important details make what you're saying impossible--but thrilling to think about, eh...
