  1. "I felt like a female in a male body" is the beginning of the transition mentality. How 'bout that's just ok? You feel you should be female, so you identify as a woman, psychologically, while unavoidably retaining the male BODY identity. The body cannot be changed to the other sex, precipitating a curious societal schizophrenia, where the woman psychological identity and the male body sexual identity try to coexist.

  2. Eh, the one who lost out "naturally" experienced an emotional outburst, temporary loss of self-control. This response doesn't deserve to be elevated to the level of societal breakdown. It's just the feeling of "sour grapes" coming to the fore; the ability to control oneself varies from person to person. It's important, though, that her example was observed by her team mates and competitors--gives 'em something to think about...for another time.
