Congressmen like to campaign with their meager five-minute allowances. But maybe once in a while, one of them could ask for the fullest explanation of precisely why the question cannot be answered! The other day, Garland deflected a general question because he thought the questioner had an ulterior motive for asking it that related to a specific current event that Garland insisted was an ongoing case! I'd like to see five minutes spent on exactly why you can't comment on an active case--we're not asking for a full accounting! Just some ENGAGEMENT! There's no reason not to acknowledge public information about the case! But secrecy is the intoxicating scent of power..."the more the merrier", "the less said, the better"..."dead men tell no tales"...
