Nadler skirted the police defunding issue by claiming the federal government was not defunding, but funding, "the police" of the states and cities who are facing "shortages", stopping just shy of recognizing the cause of those shortages as states and cities defunding police! I guess that's how they "serve" the American people, with lies of omission--it's the political way!
