  1. When it comes to core count and power phases, you're not going to shop yourself a significant savings from max. The price difference between high and low core and phase counts is insignificant. Go for the gusto! The cost difference between almost-bleeding edge and "sensible" is about 600-800 bucks--it ain't worth dickin' about!

  2. I built my current system 3 years ago, so I'm gettin' itchy, ya know. But, at that time, the 1080 ti extreme (11 GB) cost me about $650! Looks like they're going for around $1500, now! WTF! I can't justify upgrading! Arrrggghhh! But watching Jay in this vid, I'm thinkin' I'm a little lucky I can't upgrade now--it's a mine field! hehehe
