Don't underestimate the psychological burden of living in a hostile environment. I'd suggest starting to think more about exit strategy. Stupid people are just as dangerous as crazy people.

"The party will tell me which side my bread is buttered on--AND who buttered it!"

"When you've dealt with the South African government for your whole life, and then the Chinese government, dealing with the American government is like talking to your best friend."@@...I'm a natural born US citizen whose never lived anywhere else, and when I heard this if I'd been drinking milk it would have rushed out my nose! That really helped put things in perspective for me. The American system specializes in not caring who you are. Some find it heartless, while most, I think, find it comforting...comforting that it's difficult for individuals with a grudge to work the system corruptly from the inside unfairly to your disadvantage. It still sucks to get screwed because you forgot to dot an "i" or cross a "T"...but at least you screwed yourself, so you don't feel so bad...uh, is that right? hmm...hahaha

The only people more xenophobic than the Chinese is the North Koreans. It makes sense, since the Chinese "look" is easily detectable, unique. The "other" is easily detectable TO CHINESE people, and, inversely, feeds a powerful sense of cultural/racial identity. "We can tell by looking at you if you're one of us!" The "other" can never be fully trusted, respected, or loved, and always represents a "hidden danger".

This virus seems to kill only those of Asian extraction, I've read...

The failed state eventually yields to a new owner! As soon as it becomes possible, some group of better organized and equipped people will take over the country...by some means or other. You know the drill...

I like having the background street images to watch. It's kind of funny to see so many women walking arm-in-arm. The squeaky wheel that gets the grease, today, gets the FIRE TOMORROW! hehehe...it doesn't pay in the longer run to complain, though there may be perceived short-term benefit.

The Chinese are not doing cancel culture properly! hehehe...You're supposed to go after whoever hired her! She's an advertising commodity; she goes, and does, what she's told by her employer. I suspect this is only a few "Karens" with their usual "nothing to do"...trashing up the place for everyone else...

The CCP NEEDS war to constrain its people in unity!

Isn't medical care FREE in communist China! There should be no medical BILLS, then. So, am I to understand that people in China are collapsing spontaneously to avoid having to pay someone else's medical bills?! I found the video somewhat incongruous.

A lot of superlatives for Hong Kong! I wonder if he'd include "cosmopolitan" among them...but, then, I also wonder what they expect to be different after, what was it, 45 years...everything cycles...what do you want from me...

That was funny...the woman walking past the camera wearing a cap that says, "POLICE"--in ENGLISH! hahaha...mainland China...

Communism breeds grab-hags--"Get as much as you can while you can because you have no idea when it'll be back again!"

An alternative to "lying flat": "slack", "song chi". It's a concept taken from "The Church of the Subgenius" material...hahaha...amusing stuff, with a hint of seriousness...

Kind of a "preemptive gleaning", eh? Looks...efficient! ðŸ¤

Since China is a hyper-surveilled state, they could make it a hyper-safe country, where anyone committing a crime in public would be CERTAINLY caught and convicted, providing huge disincentive to further crime. No...they want to keep the little people BUSY--too weak and busy surviving--to revolt.

Seems the Chinese are a "no class" people! Maybe "class" is a function of individuality.

Sounds like a possible, educational, solution in China's new "social credit" system, eh? Shame the populace into being...responsible for each other. Is the Chinese government INTERESTED in encouraging socially responsible behavior?
