  1. The only people more xenophobic than the Chinese is the North Koreans. It makes sense, since the Chinese "look" is easily detectable, unique. The "other" is easily detectable TO CHINESE people, and, inversely, feeds a powerful sense of cultural/racial identity. "We can tell by looking at you if you're one of us!" The "other" can never be fully trusted, respected, or loved, and always represents a "hidden danger".
