  1. The opposition of emotion and rationality seems wrong to me. And that's the whole basis of this guy's perspective. Emotion and rationality are the two ends of the same spectrum. The animal nature owns the reactive system, relying on learned response to manage time-critical decisions. But if you take the additional time to notice you will "see" the learning that determined the response; you "see" by articulating a "feeling". Information about the real world percolates upward from the bottom, from mechanisms of the conditioned nature, the habit nature. That percolation IS articulation. You don't have a personal mind. You've been powerfully conditioned to think everyone has a personal mind that may be abused, or diseased, etc. No. You OPERATE THE ONE UNIVERSAL MIND as well as you are able. The quality of your awareness is determined by the interplay of attention and intention that "YOU" wield.
