The world is still competitive. But at least China has raised its people out of "absolute poverty" as defined by World Bank, IMF, and the UN.

@kenm4898 Not a direct relationship to poverty. Instead of assistance, we see more sanctions and divestment from the US.

@mah7961 Not rags as you described. China has more than $3 trillion national reserves, the highest of any country. Gold reserves 72 million ounces.
2
@mah7961 Corruption is a problem of the past. Western style democracy gets you the most persuasive politicians. Chinese style meritocracy gets you the most competent leaders.

@adriankheyon It is Philippines, influenced by the US, who violated other countries territory and undermined regional stability and peace.

@adriankheyon When China claimed sovereignty over those reefs, Philippines was still not a country. Moreover, Spain or the US, which colonized the Philippines at that time, also had never claimed sovereignty over those reefs.

@kenm4898 The Chinese government is not perfect, but it has earned the trust of its people. People criticize their government everyday, but they trust it. The simplest proof: in China, people only trust public hospitals & schools. Corruption and bribe do not happen anymore.

@adriankheyon Spanish-American Treaty clearly specified Philippines limits and did not include Nansha islands in South China Sea.
2
@adriankheyon On the other hand, Philippines claiming a disputed island with a rusty ship is hardly any international order.

@kenm4898 In return for Japan's ODA, China has taken various steps to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation, including: 1. Strengthening economic ties: China has become Japan's largest trading partner, and Japan is China's second-largest trading partner. 2. Investment: Chinese companies have invested in Japan, particularly in the technology and healthcare sectors. 3. Tourism: China has become a significant source of tourists for Japan, with over 9 million Chinese visitors in 2019. 4. Cultural exchange: China and Japan have increased cultural exchange, including education, arts, and sports. 5. Technology sharing: China has shared its expertise in areas like high-speed rail and renewable energy with Japan. While the ODA was aimed at supporting China's development, the bilateral relationship has evolved into a more mutually beneficial partnership.

@kenm4898 Not exactly copied and pasted. China gained expertise from foreign companies, including Japanese, to develop its high-speed rail network. However, China has since developed its own technology and expertise and has become a major exporter of high-speed rail.

@kenm4898 In terms of nano chips, yes, maybe a few years more to catch up. But not copied and pasted. Corruption, economic inequality, and environment were the 3 main points China addressed for the past 10 years.
2
@kenm4898 There is no script. Thanks for your compliment.

@adriankheyon I just state the fact.

@kenm4898 I think and act independently and do not have a handler. If name calling is all you can do, I suggest you go back to school.
