  1. Holy christ! Great experience! I've seen several videos of pirates and various ships engaging fire and I can't imagine being there, I'm glad you decided to take up a (hopefully) safer occupation!

When I moved from Northern California to Texas, I had a huge problem with timing in conversations, I'd ask a question, wait, then go on, not realizing that southerners don't always talk as fast as the East and West coasts. I constantly thought people were ignoring me, but I learned to adjust to a slower rhythm. Now, fast talking jars me, it's odd how strange it sounds now that I've been here for so long.
