Nothing scares me more than any printed directive TELLING me how I should feel...

@jellyfishi_ I agree with you completely, but you're wasting your time. Racists cling to their ignorance as though it's gold bars. They do not ever want to think differently, because change is their most absolute fear. Anyone who changes a single opinion in a group of racists is immediately branded a traitor, because of their refusal to learn. Their entire existence is a house of cards that they must hold together at all costs, insisting that it's stronger than steel...when every breeze of intelligent thought threatens their fragile life. People who are intelligent, and open to new information know that they cannot be threatened by it. Whatever it is, it will usually prove to be an exciting opportunity for new vistas. A racist is the flat earther of humankind, unwilling out of fear to believe there is anything out there that will not threaten them...fear makes them brutes and bullies, only fear causes hate and violence.

Jack Hole Please give your statistics. What is your evidence? I'm certain you can easily document all your claims, unless of course, all your information comes from the KKK...

We have evolved to have trauma locked into the part of our brains that controls our physical, as well as our intellectual reactions. Because of this, our bodies react to a memory of trauma in a faster way than we can think about it. We have evolved to have the fastest possible instinctive and life saving effect to avoid death, which makes it extremely difficult for person with CPTSD to overcome their trauma with counseling alone. The trauma is literally part of their muscle memory and will react without the brain. There are some great books on using somatic touch to retrain muscle memory...google somatic touch, it's very interesting.

@fakename3440 If you're replying to me, I'm looking for my book that I got the info from, a study on survival in humans, and our responses to stress and life and death situations. I did not explain it well, but I will look up the info and use a direct qoute and cite the reference as soon as I find it.
