  1. Filing a protective order is always a bad idea. It makes you a hundred times for likely to be attacked...and the police don't want to respond to domestic abuse anyway, so you're low on the list. If your stalker is breaking into your house and the cops are at Chick fillet, you're going to be waiting awhile...at least until that to go order is ready...
