  4. So souls are really just thrift store goods....start out at Saks Fifth Avenue, stuck on sale, gets sold to Ross or Marshall's, then on to DD's Discount, and finally goodwill. Some just get thrown away....

I read an interesting autobiography of the teacher in Siam (Thailand) in the late 1800s, I believe, who worked for King Mongkut, who had been a monk in his youth until his brother was killed and he had to become king. He took the teacher to say goodbye to a personage in a temple who was dying and the experience changed her life in a profound manner. Although she was always a rabid christian, she felt that there was something completely otherworldly and perfect about the monks passage. She was only wrote about it once that I know of, and in later copies of the book, the chapter is not there, i believe. I was always extremely impressed by it.
