I'm afraid if I was raised in those times, I'd be pretty ruthless too. I almost never lose my temper, I'm scared too. It supposedly comes from my moms native American indian blood. She had the same habit of holding still and her eyes would turn black. The menace would just emit from her like smoke...she never spanked us, she didn't have to, we never wanted to see her in action, and my dad was frankly terrified of her, even though there was never any yelling or violence...it was just a weird aura..
