  1. Walking across the bridge freaks me out because the barrier is only waist high. You see kids and tourists climbing up and leaning over that terrifying drop. Several people a month jump on purpose. There is a documentary called "The Bridge" where a crew filmed the bridge for a year and caught several people jumping to their deaths. They interviewed the families and friends, and the coast guard that has to go out and retrieve the bodies. They caught an incredible moment when a young girl tries to jump and is caught by the back of her jacket by a tourist. The guy held on for dear life and managed to pull her back. 2 people have survived the jump. The survivor said that the second his hands left the railing, he realized that every problem he had was solvable, except that he had just jumped off a bridge. Every bridge jumper around the world who has survived has said the same thing. If you are contemplating suicide, please know that you have a life to be lived.
