I'm so sorry he died, but the pilot should never have flown in heavy fog, no matter how famous their client is! He killed them all because of hubris....

@lyle_menendez it's not wrong, it's TRUE because they wouldn't have died. It's an accident that could have been prevented! I lived in LA for a few years and we wouldn't drive in Tully fog, much less FLY! That's insane and everyone from LA knows it. No responsible person would agree to try and navigate with visibility at zero! I'm angry about it because the pilot just really wanted to please his clients, called Kobe his "friend", who "counted on him" to get there. It was a horrible miscalculation of his abilities. He was not cleared to go by instruments only. He should NEVER have flown. If he had lived, he'd be in jail for manslaughter. It was a mistake, but a mistake made because someone was under a celebrity aura of wanting to do the impossible to impress and ended up causing multiple deaths that was completely unnecessary.

@lyle_menendez Yes, he did. It was such a tragic miscalculation. It was so preventable. They would have missed their game...and been alive...
