It's a real show, but they have to make it more interesting and keep the language "clean" and make the exchange clear on both sides, so it's scripted, even though the items are real, the people are real, and the store is real. They just don't have a camera crew waiting around all day in hopes of catching an exciting item coming in. So, they do a reenactment of the event...if that's fake to you, then every single reality show on tv is fake....
