  2. I've heard of him all my life, growing up in California and my mother grew up in Chinese Camp in the Sierra Madres in the 1930s. The legend of Murrieta lives on there...there are so many stories about him everywhere... It's hard to believe they even survived the harsh weather, animals and other bandits who were all over the place...

  3. There are a number of books written Mrs. Hillary about their many travels in and around Tibet. They took their children everywhere and climbed constantly. The books are geared towards younger people, but gives a fascinating look at the life of a famous climbers family. They were very active in charity work for people in the Himalayas.

  4. I AGREE! I remember when my older sister and dad went to their first Bruce Lee film (I think it was enter the dragon) in San Francisco, they came back with Chinese food, excited beyond belief!! I'm not entirely sure, but I remember them saying he was there and made a short speech or met people at the event, which was held in Chinatown, San Francisco, but it may have been at another point..I know my dad talked to him once...
