  1. A simple Google search , shows that the reservation is and was managed poorly . The latest president of the reservation is in legal trouble . Alcohol is banned on the reservation . You can't ban alcohol or marijuana etc etc . People will just find a way to get it anyway . Instead they could sell it with extreme regulations and identification policies . It would create lots of wealth for a poverty stricken reservation . Which means shared wealth amongst the tribal members . Especially since they don't pay any kind of taxes . Yes taxes are bad , but not all taxes . Since taxes create jobs , like road construction and the like . Notice wealthy reservations , are all ready benefiting from the things I've said . They have casinos and other tribal branding to sell to vacationers & tourists . The pine ridge reservation could have these commodities . Why don't they ? Maybe it has something to do with their democratic / political affiliation . Crime , maybe blame those doing the crime . And not historical injustice of the past . You can't blame everything on the u.s government and white people ..... Sorry . I know it's now the popular thing to do . Blame gets us no where in life . In conclusion , positive attitudes lead to positive futures . Regular americans don't get tax breaks for everything . And free thousand dollar handouts once a year .
