Men don't usually break up in "good faith" unless there's another women in the picture. Also convenient that part wasn't mentioned here. He would have received everything she owned, they were still married. That's a huge motive. He was about to lose half of everything. If there was a new girl, she may not have liked that part. LOTS OF THIS STORY LEFT OUT!
