  2. titmouse1 Kids starving in Africa are the result of over population and an ignorant society that keeps multiplying and has little, if any means to take care of its people for any number of reasons. Probably lack of education and lack intelligence is one of the problems. I'm not worried about starving kids in Africa. We have neglected kids right here in the United States that need attention first including inner city blacks. That's who I want to help. It seems Trump will lead the way.

  3. titmouse1 Give Trump a chance. He's got lots of good ideas. I think were' onto a new beginning. We are in a period of what I would call soft anarchy. I say soft because, although the incident with the veteran's house reported by Margaret Howell (and others we've seen) is deeply troubling, we're not experiencing widespread revolt. At least not yet and, we hope, never. The incidents are relatively isolated and largely confined to liberal strongholds. We need to take this seriously though. We have a politcal party, a press and a significant cohort within the population that is refusing to acknowledge a legitimate election result and attempting to discredit and undermine the incoming president six weeks before he has even taken office. The incumbent is abetting this by not condemning it. If in the past the country has experienced anything like what we're seeing now, I'm unaware of it. As far as Africa is concerned, we agree we need to get out own house in order first. The problem with free anything is that is't not really free. someone somewhere has to foot the bill. The fall of Detroit was foreign competition making a better mouse trap and rising cost of labor which rendered our auto manufacturers unable to compete. We cannot afford people making $40/hour plus benefits to sit around all day long and do nothing.
