  4. I'm glad they're taking good care of him, but I'd never want a big cat as a pet. They belong in the wild. We have four cats, all domestic short hairs.

  5. Tigers: Great big kitties. I love them, but wouldn't want one as a pet. They are so endangered in the wild now it's best for humans to care for them. They don't have an easy life in the wild, even in the preserves set aside for them.

  9. I saw other people in the video, so he must get some company once in a while. It's amazing he prefers to live in a totally isolated environment, yet he's up to date on technology with his FB page. He has a nice mix of modern technology with rugged living. It's always heartwarming to see a person like this and what he does for the animals. We have a bear that comes around our house once in a while. He (or she), I don't know which, is gentle as a lamb. The worst thing you can do is let them know you're afraid of them. Then they might become aggressive. As far as grizzlies and polars, I wouldn't mess with them. They are dangerous. Black bears are pretty harmless. I don't know about browns.

  10. They're cute but I think I'll stick with my domestic house cats. Bobcats belong in the wild. I see one on very rare occasion around where we live. They're good at keeping hidden.

  11. Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, FL has a "Vacation Rotation" enclosure of 2 acres where the tiges can get plenty of exercise, but it's not like in the wild.

  13. The United States needs to be more like Istanbul in Turkey where the cats are cared for by all the people and have free roam of the city.

  14. We have 5 cats and it runs about $600/month to feed them. I can easily see $1500/ month for 2 bears and a tiger.
