Imagine the speed it attained travelling to the ocean floor then the additional damage upon impact. By the time it hit bottom, the ship ws totally destroyed.

The wreck was found in 1985, Sept. 1 to be exact.Thank you to Robert Ballard. Would like to see the stern. It tends to get ignored.

I think it would fall apart if you tried to move it.

Agreed. The bulge on the port side is damage from impact with the ocean floor when the ship finally reached its resting place. Imagine the forces on the ship upon impact.

All bodies have long since disappeared. It takes about 5 years for the human body to completely disintegrate in salt water.

It will never completely disappear. There will always be remnants. The telemotor stands to this day almost as new.

I'm not afraid of it.

Fascination with the ship never ends even after 111 years.

Britannic's covered in barnacles and other sea life same as the Andrea Doria.

There's a big chunk of the sterm still there. The rest broke into many pieces when the ship split in two making the debris field between the bow and stern. The stern holds the engines and three propellers.

The Bismark looks very much like the Titanic and is in even deeper water, but intact.

Not really that fast. It's been 111 years. There's still plenty left. I bet there's still a lot inside the ship.
