Till did make unwanted advances towards her. His cousins were witnesses to that. It's no excuse for what was oden to him, but it was the deep south in the mid 50s. Different world.

Emmett's murders both died young of lung cancer. Maybe that's how they were taken care of.

@therealmrstaten He got smart with an older white woman, a big mistake in the deep south at that time. He should have gone home as hi cousins wanted him to. They knew he was in danger, but his aunt wanted him to stay. I'm sure she had many regrets.

It's easy to read up on this case. There's plenty of information available. It was the deep south in the 50s. Little black boys didn't mess around with white girls.

She's 88 years old. Long since widowed. What are you going to do to her now?
