Since being gay seems to have become a badge of honor among the left and automatically qualifies you above all heterosexuals, I suppose one might think that's why he's surging ahead. No matter. Trump will trounce him. Despite how "progressive" we are in the USA, many nations around the world take a dim view of homosexuality. I can see Buttgeig showing up in the Middle East with his "first partner" in tow. That'll go over real well. The first lady's now a man? No thanks. I don't think even the USA is ready for that.

@nc178 I'm not sure what your point is but there are at least 130 million voters in the country, maybe more. The vast majority won't vote for Sanders. Do you really want an 80 year old socialist with heart problems in the White House?

@TheEndingAbyss I'm sure much of his support does come from the demographic you mention. If you add in all those who listen to CNN and similar news sources exclusively thinking it's credible then you have the misinformed as well.
