  1. It's so quiet with just the birds cheeping.Very peaceful. Amtrak train still stop here so you can take a trains to Washington DC if you want and other points north. Coal trains and freights still come through as well.

  4. Yes, that's correct and there are videos on You Tube of trains coming and going in Thurmond.

  5.  @lorumipsum1129  I really don't know. Iv'e never been there but Id' guess there's something around. It's a national park with visitors.
