  25. The Democrats, while they hold the levers of power, would welcome widespread demonstrations that they could infiltrate and turn violent to justify a military crackdown on the right. My great—and I believe legitimate—fear is that, having failed to take Trump out using the underhanded and blatantly illegal tactics they've tried since he first won the presidency, they'll kill him.

Lithium mining (often done by children or their impoverished parents) can consume two million gallons of water per ton to extract, draining the surrounding water tables. Battery fires, which occur spontaneously, are extremely difficult to extinguish, requiring as much as 6,000 gallons of water (the average fire truck holds 500). Lithium is highly toxic, so getting rid of the spent batteries is a major environmental concern. That the power grids around the world won't support tens of millions of electric vehicles is a trifling detail. But we won't worry about that, nor will the greenies.
