I would have done the same thing. One of our cats is a stray that showed up at our house one day. Now he's a member of the family.

One of our cats was a stray that came to our house. He's worked out very well.

I'd love to dive into the pool with his mom, too! :-)

Thank you for saving this kitten. I hope you didn't suffer too much damage from the storm.

In the meantime we've heard nothing about his illegitimate grand child.

We have a cat that showed up last summer, hung around the house for 6 months, then moved in. He's still here and seems quite happy to be inside.

I was so scared when it was close to her time. I was afraid this video wouldn't have a happy ending. Thanks to everyone who helped save her. I'm a cat person, but love all animals and never want to see them killed or abused.

@milesedgeworth6114 Great story. I'm so glad you gave the little orphan a home. Our stray kitty is one of our favorites just because of how we got him. I'm so happy we could give him a home. He seems to appreciate it, too.

Rescued cats are the best. We have five, and one is a rescue we took in this Fall after he hung around the house all last summer. H'e adapted to indoor life perfectly and was immediately accepted by our other cats as one of the family.

A stray cat came around our house last summer and hung out until November when we finally trapped him and brought him inside. We weren't sure about another cat since we already had four, but he's worked out beautifully. The resident cats accepted him right away. Now he's our very special cat.

I can't believe you left her behind.

A stray cat wandered into our yard 2 years ago, moved into our wood shed, and stayed around the house for 6 months. Winter was coming on and we had to do something. We had been feeding him and he became pretty friendly, but you couldn't hold him, so we had to trap him. We took him to our clinic to get neutered and vaccinated, then brought him inside. We kept him in the bathroom for a couple days, then gave him the run of the house. He loves being indoors and has shown no interest in going out again. We had 4 other cats when we took him in but it was no problem at all. The resident cats accepted him right away and even play with him. He's a very happy indoor cat now, healthy and well adjusted. Fortunately, he didn't have any diseases, but was full of ticks and fleas. We took care of that while he was still outside. He's with us more than 2 years now and quite happy. Now we can hold him all we want. He never hides or runs away. He's a big baby and loved by all.

Thank you for saving the kittens and adopting one of them. One of our cats is a stray that showed up at our house in May about 3 years ago and hung around the entire summer, into fall, moving into our wood shed. He was determined to stay. With winter coming on we had to do something about this cat. There was no getting him into a carrying case so we had to trap him which worked out well. We had him neutered and vaccinated and he's now a happy indoor cat and has never shown any interest in going out again. Our 5 resident cats accepted him right away as a member of the family. We weren't looking for another cat, but he found us. The only way we could be sure he got a good home is if we kept him, so here he is.

We had a very similar situation 3 year ago. He now resides with us living in the lap of luxury. He knew which house to come to! He's very happy being an indoor kitty.

I don't see how street cats could possibly be a problem. I think it's wonderful to have them all around.

Cats are very adaptable.

Thanks for saving her. Some people would just walk away. Cats know people can help them. A stray showed up in our yard 3 years ago. Now he's part of the family and every day seems most appreciative we took him in. He's never shown any interest in going out doors again.

We have a big male cat we adopted about 18 months ago. We got a new kitten in March of this year. We weren't sure how it would go, but within 24 hours they were cuddling together. We have another big male cat about 3 years old who also took to the kitten. Even our 12 year old female who tends to be a little cranky with intruders into her house has tolerated the new kitten very well, even playing with him a little. I think adult cats do not feel threatened by kittens and tend to take to them easily. We've never had a problem assimilating new cats with the residents but we always get kittens.

I presume you kept the cat.

He looks to be in great shape now. I'll never understand how anyone can abandon a pet, but I know it happens a lot. Rolo is one of the lucky ones.
