  3. I'll go out on a limb here and suggest he would have been a better president than W and should not have been screwed out of the nomination in 2000. Otherwise, his time is long since past. He's too old now and in failing health. He may not live through 2018. The prognosis for his ailment is not good in anyone. Compound that with his age and he's done. Before long McCain will no longer be a fixture in the federal government and thank heaven for it.
