  1. It's good that the vote went against calling more witnesses. It's nothing to brag about, though, that after the defense lawyers demolished a case the senators knew was a sham in the first place 49 of them voted to call witnesses anyway to prolong the proceedings. Romney was among them, allowing his hatred to prevail over clear evidence of innocence. I guess we can expect more of the same next Wednesday—a vote along partisan lines.

  3. Politics has always provided a means of advancement for the corrupt and the power hungry, but people like Schiff, Pelosi and Nadler have brought it to a new low by adding open dishonesty to the tactics. They don't even try to conceal their tawdry lying and manipulation of the debased press.
