  1. History has demonstrated that Afghanistan is ungovernable and that the ferocious people who live there can't be defeated militarily by anyone. They whupped the British in the 19th century and sent the Russians packing in the 20th. Then we stupidly had a crack at it, and now, 20 years, billions of dollars and thousands of lost lives later, we're hotfooting it out of there too, humiliated by roving bands of guerrillas in turbans and leaving behind enough materiel to turn them into a first-rate military force. Thanks, Biden! This is on you. No question about it.
