Trump just brokered peace on the Korean Peninsula without firing a shot or even paying the place a visit. It will all work out in time. After 65 years it's not going to come around overnight. Trump laid down the law to Rocket Man and he came around. I prefer to remain optimistic. The liberals would love Trump to fail, but it won't happen.

Is the road any longer than 65 years? Trump stated on the campaign trail in 2016 he wanted China to take care of NK.

He was given credit for setting this up by the president of South Korea, among others! Haven't you done any research? Trump haters will do all they can to be sure he never gets credit for anything. This is no surprise. It's stereotypical behavior of the left as they continue to lose and hate seeing Trump succeed at anything. Get used to the president, he's here to stay. Korea will be considered a great accomplishment of his administration. Had Obama done this the press would be pouring accolades all over him for months. Take your bitterness and hatred somewhere else. Maybe you'd like to move to Greenland.

They key to the problem is China. Trump stated during his campaign he wanted China to get NK under control. Apparently he was onto something from the get-go. Without the Chinese to prop him up, Rocket Man's regime would collapse. Trump understands this. He also understands and resents that the Chinese have been subverting us economically for decades. I thought at the time that his threatening a trade war with them was also aimed at getting the Chinese to cooperate in reining in N. Korea. Their government is not so strong as it seems. Of necessity they've had to liberalize and in doing so created a middle class, which now wants more freedom and economic opportunity. If exports to the U.S. are significantly impeded, Xi Jinping will have a big problem on his hands at home. We'll probably never know exactly what kind of a deal Trump worked out with him, but it's likely that the Chinese are behind Kim Jong-un's suddenly wearing a smiley face and making nice with Moon Jae-in. Lots can go wrong, but at least this time we have a president who, thanks to his international business experience, understands how to negotiate with Asians. For the first time in decades we no longer have a patsy in the White House.
