Richard Brodsky of The Huffington Post recently stated in an article "Hillary has found her voice" in her criticisms, or insults, of Trump. It's not so much about Hillary Clinton "finding her voice" but Trump's failure, or inability, to move away from campaigning on personal insults. Trump is an iconoclastic outsider and a colorful one, but he's a hard man to defend on civility. He cannot disregard all the rules and traditions of political discourse indefinitely without a cost to himself. Eventually he'll have to tone down his rhetoric or run the risk of losing the general election. His own wife and children are telling him that. It would be dangerous for him now to succumb to the belief that since he has so many loyal followers among us "uneducated, angry, white, beer-drinking people," according to his critics, that he doesn't need to win over independents and undecideds, or to think that he can win with the "angry white" vote alone. He can't. He needs to cultivate a political demeanor that will attract voters of all stripes. Firing back with insults every time he's criticized or challenged is unlikely to be helpful. Having said that, I'm still a Trump supporter. If Hillary's clan, and the Madam herself, can ignore the FBI, Benghazi and the Clinton Foundation, among others, why should Trump supporters get too excited over what he said about a judge who probably is bias, just as he has stated?
